Why would you choose me over someone who has possibly worked on a dozen more podcasts or has years more experience? The answer is stories. It’s because I look for stories in everything. Because of the amount of times I spent with my nose in a book, I find myself teasing out narratives from the most mundane interactions. It’s because I’m looking for the story behind the cup of coffee, the children’s toy, or that random counter in Union Square. I’m always curious to find the why behind the what, and most importantly, the “who” who first asked why. I have a knack for contextualizing things in a way that relates to people. I’m a team player who loves collaborating. I find that diverse groups with varied experiences inspire and excite my curiosity. Beyond my love of narrative, I am an extremely capable editor with decades of experience with audio. I would love to bring my passion for stories to Gimlet!

Stories
When it comes to stories, I’ve learned from the best. My love of literature has given me the ability to shape powerful pictures from raw clay. But my first love was non-fiction. I found a book for every question I had, and I read it. Being extremely curious has made me an excellent researcher.
Editing/Mixing
Having done everything from producing, editing, mixing, and even scoring has given me a view of podcasts from every angle. Finding the best way to deliver compelling material to listeners around the world has been more rewarding than I could ever imagine.
Creative
Most of all, I’m a creative! I know what it means to make something out of nothing, to tell a story (even without words) that could change someone’s perspective. Everything I see is food for narrative. Life is a string of allegories… as long as you know where to look.
